Project Summary
Project Type: Primary Bedroom Renovation
This Spanish-style villa required a full update to modernize the primary bedroom while keeping its original charm. The renovation included new engineered wood flooring, complete wall leveling, plastering, painting, wallpaper installation, and the addition of custom built-in bookshelves, wood wall panels, baseboards, and crown moldings.
A new dropped drywall ceiling allowed the AC system to be rerouted and replaced with modern linear diffusers. One of the key features of this project was a custom curtain pocket with LED lighting hidden behind the crown molding, adding soft, ambient evening light and enhancing the room’s architectural depth.
In the primary bathroom, major plumbing changes were completed. The built-in tub was removed and replaced with a freestanding tub on a raised platform, and the shower received a ceiling-mounted rain head, a new thermostatic system, stone wrapping, mosaic tile details, and a tile-in linear drain. The entire floor throughout the suite was re-leveled for a smooth and cohesive finish.
The adjacent sunroom was converted into a small baby nook, and the walk-in closet was redesigned for better organization while keeping the space light and airy.
A thoughtful remodel that blended modern updates with the timeless character of this beautiful home.
